Michael Vey the Prisoner of Cell Twenty Five, is Written by Richard Paul Evans. In this action packed novel Michael Vey, a freshmen at Meridian High. Vey and his gang, Ostin Liss and Taylor Ridley make a costly discovery. They find out that there are other kids with similar powers and they are being hunted. When Michael's mother is abducted, Michael reliess on his special abilities and the Electroclan to flee from the hunters and save his mom.

I think the theme is overcoming bad times. When Taylor and Michael's mother were kidnapped the culprits hospitalize Michael by knocking him unconscious. When Michael was released from the hospital he had to live with one of his best friends, Ostin. Soon after he healed he began Michael began to search for his mother. When Michael first moved to Idaho he was bullied by two boys named, jack and Wade. He was brutally beaten and repeatedly shoved into his own locker. The principal, Mr.Dallstrorm did not have any sympathy and gave Michael three weeks of detention. Despite Mr. Dallstorms cruelty Vey kept his head up and thought of his punishment as protective custody. When  Taylor was kidnapped she was torcherd by a girl named, Nichelle who has radiation powers. Nichelle forced Taylor to say bad things about herself. Once Taylor got Elegen acadamey she talked to her sister, Tara about Nichelle and Tara stood up for Taylor.

I definitely recommend this novel to all seventh graders, because it is action packed and i feel i can relate to Michael and his gang except the superpower part.
